Preserving the Tonbridge station subway mural

Panels from a painted mural depicting the history of Tonbridge station from 1842. Images include steam and electric trains through the ages and railway staff in a variety of uniforms.

Thanks to the efforts of Southeast Communities Rail Partnership and just £250 from Community Rail Network’s Small Grants Fund for England, a digital copy of the water-damaged Tonbridge Station mural will be printed onto Correx and installed in the waiting room – preserving the artwork for future passengers to enjoy.
