Valley Park School
Project Overview
Kent Community Rail Partnership began working on community based projects with Valley Park School in 2024, with the school becoming station adopters for Maidstone East.
Student Art and Community Celebrations 2024
The students launched their station adoption in December 2024 with an evening of festive songs for everyone at the station.
Councillor Chis Passmore had generously supported the event, with a Community Grant that funded a public address system.
Valley Park School joined Community Rail Network as Station Adopters, and accessed a Small Funds Grant to purchase cabinets which will display student artworks at the station. We are grateful to Southeastern for installing the cabinets and supporting the students’ activities at Maidstone East.
Student Art and Community Celebrations 2025
Student artwork has been produced and displayed throughout the year, including a special display for Remembrance Day.
On Monday 8th December the school choir performed festive songs in the booking hall.
The Future
We continue to develop our relationship with Valley Park School to deliver positive experiences for their students and our communities.
