Strood Station Adoption Meeting, June 2026

On Wednesday 3rd June, in Community Rail Week, we met with Strood station manager, Bev Rickwood and Charlotte Morris from City of Rochester School to discuss our latest station adoption.

City of Rochester school are keen to involve their students in caring for the planters, creating new artwork for the station and litter-picking areas on the approaches.

We had some really positive discussions, with Bev keen to see that planters and artwork in the staff areas are included, to look at developing work experience opportunities for students and involving City of Rochester school at Rochester station too.

 

It has been fabulous to connect City of Rochester school with station adoption opportunities from Southeastern, we are excited about getting this started and watching it grow.
