To mark the close of the landmark Railway 200 year, Southeastern are celebrating everything that made Railway 200 unforgettable. From station anniversaries and depot open days to charity walks, baking competitions, a unique train tour and train unveilings, every moment reflected the passion and dedication of the railway family.
One of Southeastern’s standout highlights was the ‘Sir Chris Green’ Networker train unveiling and commemorative tour, which paid tribute to 200 years of railway heritage. The specially branded train travelled across their network, giving colleagues and customers the chance to be part of this historic celebration.
Southeastern also hosted Inspiration, the Railway 200 exhibition train, and opened the doors at Ashford Depot, welcoming thousands of visitors for a behind-the-scenes look at how they keep the railway running. It was a fantastic opportunity for Southeastern to showcase their expertise, engage with the community and raise money for charities.
Alongside these, Southeastern marked Women in Engineering Day with a special event for local schoolgirls, inspiring the next generation to explore careers in rail.
