Queenborough History Weekend, 5th - 7th June
The Queenborough Society and Queenborough Guildhall Museum are coming together to celebrate the history of the town, from Charles I to Charles III 1625 – 2025.
Queenborough History Trail, Friday 5th - Sunday 7th
Take a self-led tour of the town and discover its history along the way.
Look out for the window displays giving the history of the houses and shops – what did they used to be, who lived there?
Queenborough station, Free Children's Art Workshops,
Friday 5th, 9am-12pm & Saturday 6th, 9am-12pm
The railway came to Queenborough 165 years ago and its been bringing people to the town ever since.
165 years of changing fashions and ever growing diversity in our communities. Get creative and make your own train passengers to display in the station.
We are grateful to Mary-Jane O’Brien and Southeastern for making the booking hall available to the community, for children to draw and create their passengers. Please be sure to stay with your children and supervise them while they are at the event.

11.00 – 14.00 Charles I charter and display – what did this charter bestow on Queenborough. What part did our MP play in Charles I execution? Plus Wildfire III our WWII minesweeping base, Queenborough castle and Edward III charter, Queenborough’s varied history in photos and memorabilia Entry adults: £1, children under 16 free.

Visit the historic church, view the painted ceiling and historical sacrament documents. Free although donations gratefully received: the bell tower is open from 10.00 – 12.45.
13.00 Queenborough Church talk and presentation – take a pew!

19:00 – Quiz: what do you know about local history?
Supper included. Proceeds to Castle Connections ‘Upstairs Loo Fund’ cost per person;

Art Studio: Former Co-op Queenborough High Street
12.00 – 16.00; visit Nicola Mollett’ new art studio showcasing her paintings of boats and ships, be one of the first to see her work at this new venue and opening especially for this weeken
