Medway's Life In Miniature

On Wednesday 17th September we joined a number of other organisations at Medway Archives Centre to celebrate Railway 200 and Heritage Open Days at the “Medway’s life in miniature” exhibition.

With over 90 visitors through the doors there were plenty of opportunities for Gary and our volunteers Dominic Noades and Clive English to welcome people to the Kent CRP stall; introducing them to Community Rail and hearing their own rail stories.

 

One conversation led to us discovering an upcoming talk on Tuesday 16th December, “The Rails of north and east Kent, Guide to Great Birding Spots by Train“, and another to someone keen to get involved with an informal station adoption at Rainham.

It was great to be invited along to a place away from the railway where we meet new audiences. Our thanks go to Dominic and Clive for supporting us on our stand.
