Celebrating Strood Station's 169th Birthday

John, Katie and Liz in Strood station's booking hall. there are stalls of cake and freebies, colourful bunting and balloons.
On Wednesday 18th June we joined Southeastern to celebrate Strood station’s 169th birthday.

School groups from St James the Great Academy and laddingford School were treated to free pencils, rulers and other goodies from the Southeastern and Kent Community Rail Partenership stalls.

The fun atmosphere continued throughout the afternoon, with everyone smiling as we offered out free cake and vouchers for drinks from Marsha at the station’s Le Cafe kiosk, sweets and tote bags.

A huge thank you to Dominic Noades and Chris Fribbins for coming along to help, to Bev Rickwood and her Southeastern team for making us welcome, and to all the people who took a few moments to find out a little more about how we help Community Rail to flourish along our lines.
