We were delighted to accept an invite from Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway to hold our line group meeting at their Kemsley Down site.

Our visit began at Sittingbourne Viaduct station, where a diesel hauled service had been arranged specially to take us to the site.

Once there we set up in the cafeteria to hear about completion of our 2025/26 Action Plan and receive updates on delivery for 2026/27.

Once the meeting had closed, Sittingbourne and Kemsley Light Railway volunteers Paul Best and Jackie Davidson gave us a guided tour of the site, sharing insights into the history of the site, the engines and the railways future plans.

Just an hour from London by train, perfect for a family Days Out By Rail adventure.
