Southeastern in Bloom is an annual gardening competition, giving Southeastern staff the chance to transform stations, depots, and offices into vibrant green spaces. It’s an opportunity to cultivate plants and flowers that not only enhance the visual appeal of Southeastern’s network but also support local biodiversity and create wildlife-friendly environments. Each year, Southeastern provide funding to help selected sites bring their garden ideas to life – encouraging creativity, community pride, and a shared commitment to sustainability.
This year, a record 86 sites have been awarded funding and will soon start cultivating beds, pots and planters to enhance the visual appeal of Southeastern’s estate while also creating wildlife-friendly spaces.
Entrants often work collaboratively with our own station adopters.
We were delighted to see these new planters at Strood station, blooming lovely.
Judging will take place in June, good luck to everyone taking part.
