Guided walk on the Oasts and Orchards Rail Trail, Thursday 20th February.
The Oasts and Orchards Rail Trail is a 5.5 mile circular ramble from Paddock Wood station, taking in the fantastic scenery of local orchards and iconic oast houses.
Our guided walks seek to connect people with nature to improve their well-being, promote sustainable rail travel and bring tourist spend to the local economy.
Please ensure your footwear is suitable for uneven and muddy trail surfaces. Bring clothing suitable for the weather and pack a waterproof and snacks.
There are toilet facilities at Paddock Wood station, although these are not guaranteed to be open. Nature’s toilets along the route, aka “a wild wee”.
The circular walk returns to the station. There are a wide range of hospitality venues in Paddock Wood for you to enjoy before making your journey home.
Dogs on leads are welcome, the walk is considered suitable for participants age 12+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
We will meet outside the station at 10:30 and anticipate the 5.5 mile walk will take around 3-3.5 hours to complete.
The walk is free, however spaces are limited and booking is essential.
We hope our walk will inspire you to explore the Kent countryside by train, participants will receive a survey seeking their feedback.
